Amity Harbor Sports was recently featured on News 12 Long Island's Made on Long Island segment, spotlighting the Amityville-based business as a go-to source for custom apparel and sporting goods across Suffolk County and beyond.
Co-owner Rachel Williams spoke with reporter Jenn Seelig about the shop's evolution from a traditional retail sporting goods store, open since 1980, into a full-service custom apparel operation serving clients from Long Island to Canada.
"We started as a retail sporting store and really migrated into a custom apparel business," said Williams. Today, Amity Harbor Sports produces custom gear for sports teams, schools, restaurants, nonprofits, gyms, and local brands. Whether it's a one-of-a-kind order or a full team kit, the shop handles design, printing, and stitching in-house. "Anyone who needs custom apparel, custom merch, we can do it all."
The feature highlighted the family roots behind the business, with Williams crediting her husband Mike and his hockey-playing family for drawing her into the sports world and ultimately into building the brand together.
